    Job Description:

    • Handle a case load matching the complexity level of assigned claims
    • Tasks include investigating losses, assessing coverage, managing litigation, evaluating damages, negotiating settlements, detecting fraud, and collaborating with authorized vendors
    • Ensure compliance with state statutes, client directives, and industry best practices
    • Participate in conferences, client meetings, mentorship of other adjusters, and provide support to management as required
    • Abide by company claim metrics
    • Ensure all file operations meet state statutes, NARS, and Client Claims Handling Guidelines as well as NARS Best Practices
    • Perform other duties as assigned, which may involve occasional travel

    Qualification Requirements:

    • Education / Licensing:
    • College degree preferred
    • Experience with property litigation
    • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of commercial property claim adjustment experience
    • Must have or be able to obtain adjuster's license in multiple states

    Technical Skills:

    • Interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
    • Customer service orientation
    • Strong negotiation and litigation abilities for interactions with attorneys and arbitration on claims
    • Ability to work independently
    • Organization and time management skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Aptness in giving presentations in-person to auditors, clients, and potential clients

    Abilities:

    • Extended periods of sitting required
    • Occasional attendance at local NARS office meetings
    • Work indoors in controlled environments
    • May involve handling of files and boxes up to around 20 pounds
    • Frequent use of computer equipment
    • Travel for mediation as needed

    Salary Details:

    As part of our commitment to transparency, the base salary for the Sr. Commercial Property Claims Adjuster role is $69,000 - $88,000 annually, not including benefits or bonuses. This position is eligible for an annual performance raise. The final salary offer is determined by factors like location, skills, education, and experience. We prioritize pay equality and consider internal equity when making offers. The salary range provided is the full base salary range, with potential for future salary growth through performance. We also offer a competitive compensation and benefits package.
