- Provides ongoing maintenance and support for applications related to the electronic medical record including but not limited to EpicCare Ambulatory, Epic Reporting Workbench, Epic Beacon, and MyChart.
- Performs mid-tier troubleshooting for end users, by evaluating problem situations in depth, arriving at independent conclusions and performing needed steps in coordination with other analysts, leading to problem resolution and documentation
- Demonstrates timely, effective and efficient troubleshooting of end user questions/complaints.
- Independently provides answers to the majority of end user questions without further consultation.
- Demonstrates knowledge of electronic medical record applications, databases and clinic workflows
- Creates and maintains simple to moderately complex system tools.
- Regularly communicates evidence of being knowledgeable about the Epic application.
- Develops and document procedures pertaining to the medical record applications.
- Works effectively with other analysts to ensure the integrity of clinical and financial data.
- Monitors production system error logs to ensure data integrity for medical record information used throughout the organization.
- Follows standard build and documentation practices
- Participates in analyzing, testing and implementing software upgrades
- Participates in disaster planning and recovery.
- Consistently documents issues and resolutions into the problem tracking system.
- Creates and maintains documentation on system setup for analyst use.
- Provide after hours on-call support to clinic staff on a rotating basis.
- Effectively communicates complex and technical subject matter to non- technical end users in an effective and supportive manner.
- Continually expands self and team knowledge of EpicCare Ambulatory, Epic Beacon, Epic Reporting Workbench, Dragon Speech Recognition, MyChart and related clinical applications.
- Displays curiosity about what Epic and other systems could do, not what they currently are doing
- Keeps self-updated on Epic applications through reading, meeting attendance, continuing education and professional networking.
- Develops expertise in more than one clinical area and in their supporting information system.
- Performs other duties as assigned
