Job Requirements

  • General Position Summary:
  • Provide exceptional customer service, and proactively participate in the overall functioning of the Paint department within the Hardware Store.
  • Knowledge of Benjamin Moore Paint products is a plus
  • Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include the following:
  • Customer Service
  • Provide a positive representation of [EMPLOYER].
  • Possess a positive, friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
  • Provide exceptional Customer Service.
  • Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
  • Greet customers entering and throughout the store.
  • Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
  • Ensure all phone calls are answered promptly, courteously, and effectively.
  • Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.
  • Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
  • Assist customers in finding the products they need to complete their projects, take them to the products, and provide advice if you know that area.
  • Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
  • Flexible availability including weekends
**Work Experience

**Store Operations: Master the paint tinting equipment

Assist with correct product selection in the paint department

Master the point-of-sale system and cash out customers at the register.

Assist in creating a positive, professional, and safe work environment.

Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking merchandise throughout the store.

Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room, and outdoor merchandise area.

Properly Merchandise products, rotate seasonal items, maintain end caps, and assist with resets through the store.

Participate in all store labor services such as mixing paint and cutting keys, glass, and shades.

Ensure signage is current throughout the store.

Communicate any customer complaints or questions to the Store Manager for follow-up.

Communicate any merchandising, cost control, or sales idea to the Manager.

Participate in store meetings.

Be professional in appearance and actions.

Perform all other duties as assigned.
