Description
Job Purpose:
Supervises all shipping and receiving activities at designated branch warehouse. Lead supervisor for branch warehouse personnel and activities. Reports to Branch Customer Service Manager and is the backup supervisor when BCSM is not present.
Environment:
Non air-conditioned warehouse environment. Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Fast-paced environment. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Requirements:
- Leadership and Management skills preferred.
- Knowledge of UPS, FedEx and basic freight shipment processing and documentation.
- Critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail Oriented.
- Time management skills and the ability to delegate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.
- Knowledge of propane, LPG and/or Cryo inventory preferred.
- Able to pass preemployment background check/drug test.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities (i.e. shipping and receiving); review time-sheet and managed overtime.
- Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse employees; assign workloads to warehouse workers. Fills in warehouse shipper and receiver jobs as needed.
- Effectively communicates with Customer Service Manager, purchasing Manager and the business line supervisors at the branch and all branch personnel. Supervisory or management experience required.
- Maintains a well-organized, efficient and productive layout of inventory.
- Maintains all equipment in good condition including forklifts, pallet jacks, wrappers, scales etc.
- Develop product knowledge to facilitate customer service.
- Daily physical cycle counts
- Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in clean, safe and orderly condition.
- Primary receiver of inventory
- Assist CSM with inventory control, including aged and excess inventory; troubleshoot inventory issues
- Maintain current profiles on freight lines including: process outbound LTL freight, schedule and complete BOL, complete all freight claims and damages

From $22.00 per hour
