USS is seeking a
OOMA Database Administrator/Logs & Records (PHSF)
to provide support and services on the Presidential fleet at NAS Patuxent River Md**.

Contractor support is required for the VH-92A, VH-3D, VH-60N, test aircraft and other aircraft.

Contractor performance includes but is not limited to flight operations support; O, I and D-level aircraft maintenance; aircraft and component overhaul and repair; technical and engineering support; modification kit development, management and installation; aircraft acceptance and transfer inspections; technical directive incorporation; bulletin compliance; and Planned Maintenance Interval (PMI) for VH-92A aircraft.

Please note: This position is contingent on the contract awarded to PKL Services. The period of Performance will be 5 years and is expected to start in November 2024.

Duties and Responsibilities

The OOMA Database Administrator (DBA/A) / Logs and Records Technician is responsible for daily upkeep of the Maintenance Activities databases in addition to aircraft, component and engine records.

  • Performs a variety of functions using the Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS).
  • Monitors and manages print request and printer configurations
  • Views and monitors system information, broadcast messages and manages login capabilities.
  • Monitors server processes, schedules and rejects jobs. Will add, edit, and delete predefined jobs.
  • Maintains system security and advises on matters pertaining to OOMA inputs; extracts, analyses and validates maintenance data.
  • Develops and interprets management reports.
  • Monitors data and parameters for upline reporting and related interface requirements.
  • Maintains, issues and dispose of aircraft, engine and associated component equipment logs and records. Maintains inventory records including aircraft and engine reports IAW the applicable instructions.
  • Process readiness documents, administer the aircraft configuration status accounting program, and verify aircraft utilization reports.
  • Comply with NAVAIRINST and CNAFINST series.

Experience:


  • Minimum of five (5) years aircraft maintenance support experience as a DBA/A in the United States Navy/USMC/United States Coast Guard O-Level/I-Level CNAFINST series.
  • Experience must be within the last five years.
  • Rotary Wing Aircraft experience required. S92, VH92A, VH3D, and VH60N helicopter experience preferred.

Education Requirement:


  • Associate degree plus four (4) years additional work experience performing duties detailed above may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
or

  • Eight (8) years additional work experience performing duties detailed above may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Other Requirements:


  • Top Secret (TS) U.S. Security Clearance. Must be eligible for a Yankee White (YW) U.S. Security Clearance. Only US citizens eligible for this position.
  • Individuals released from Military Service with other than "Honorable Discharge" do not meet minimum qualifications.
  • CONUS and OCONUS travel may occasionally be required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • This position requires normal physical functions.
  • Ability to both sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10key).
  • Work may require frequent bending, reaching, and climbing.
  • May be exposed at times to moderate discomforts such as heat, cold, rain, wind.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Office/shop environment, hangar and flightline
  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment when in or passing through a hazardous area.
