Position: Senior Automation Engineer

Location: Hamburg Area, Germany

Type: Contract / Freelance (9 months+)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects related to automation and networking, from conception to acceptance, in accordance with industry standards.
  • Create requirement specifications and review functional specifications, taking into account the specific requirements of the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Support subcontractors during commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Design automation systems and networks.
  • Expand existing automation systems and integrate them into the network.
  • Analyze and maintain existing software on PLCs and SCADA.
  • Collaborate practically and conceptually in the planning of new production lines in the field of automation.
  • Document changes and system expansions, if necessary with corresponding qualification documents.
  • Carry out repairs, emergency repairs, and acceptance tests on site.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in automation technology.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in process control/automation technology, preferably with experience in the pharmaceutical industry and knowledge of GMP-related guidelines.
