Who we seek:
A self-motivated individual who can work independently, with minimum supervision, while meeting deadlines, given or self-imposed.

This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to uphold food safety and quality standards.

Knowledge of sanitation requirements for quality assurance and food safety criteria (HACCP), food production processing, chemistry, biology, Food and Dietary Supplement cGMP's would be helpful.

Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards within the organization.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


  • Performing or ensuring validation and verification activities as directed by Food Safety and HACCP Plans and Safety Quality Food (SQF) programs.
  • Conducting regular GMP inspections and other food safety and quality inspections, documenting findings, and coordinating with production staff to implement corrective actions.
  • Assisting in maintaining documentation of customer complaints, conducting investigations, and implementing appropriate resolutions.
  • Monitoring and verifying the Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) through swabbing procedures.
  • Managing pest control activities and conducting followups, as necessary.
  • Maintaining, calibrating, and verifying facility equipment used for monitoring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Participating in and supporting internal audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Conducting allergen, Critical Control Point (CCP), and cleaning validations according to schedule or as required.
  • Helping during regulatory audits, government inspections, 3rd party inspections, corporate audits, and customer visits.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned or required by business needs.

Qualifications/Skills required:


  • Computer Skills
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office, operate inventory software
  • Education degree in Food Science or a Technical field or have equivalent field experience.
  • 12 years CAPA work experience in manufacturing plant environment preferred.
  • 24 years Quality Assurance experience, preferably in the food industry or dietary supplements.
  • 12 years' experience in regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations preferred.
  • Good project management skills to deliver an effective service in a timely manner.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work that forms part of the Quality System Documentation.
  • Good written and oral communication skills to ensure effective and report generation and effective communication with all levels of the organization.
