TITLE:
Associate Director


DUTIES:
Scotia Capital (USA), Inc.

seeks Associate Director in New York, NY to support client coverage with Senior Bankers through day-to-day account management, championing a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships.

Actively participate in calling efforts and preparation of pitchbook materials to market and deliver the Bank's full-service offerings to customers and prospects.

Identify cross-sell opportunities and coordinate with various product partners.

Direct and complete analysis of corporate US lending opportunities within the Healthcare sector, namely profitability analysis and preparing Deal Memos for approval by Senior Management.

Play a key role in the training, development and coaching of Analysts and Associates, which includes reviewing work and providing an overview of the Bank's procedures and guidelines.

Review and negotiate credit agreements with agent banks and external counsel, culminating in the closing of transactions.


REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related role: performing financial modelling and projection analysis to determine the likelihood of loan repayment; conducting stress testing analysis to determine when the business can slow down before a financial covenant is breached and a refinancing must take place; analyzing lending and non-lending products to fully understand the credit risks and mitigants for the Bank and extent of cross-sell opportunities for the Bank with the client; implementing knowing-your-client and anti-money laundering training surrounding issues of privacy, disclosure, fraud prevention, and anti-terrorism; analyzing data while conducting due diligence of entire sector and subsectors regarding market trends.

In the alternative, employer will accept a Master's degree in one of the above-listed fields and three (3) years of experience in the above-listed areas.

The offered salary is between $185,000 and $185,000 per year, and 40 hours per week. 30% domestic travel required. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site.
