Description
The Accountant provides accounting, finance, and operational support for the Finance Department.

The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain accurate and precise records of the financial activity of the organization, while ensuring that accounting standards, policies, and procedures are followed with consistency.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


_ Resource Management:
_


  • Ensures the maintenance of accurate and timely financial records by entering, processing, and reconciling transactions in accordance with established procedures and formats.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and journal maintenance.
  • Processes all financial transactions and reports through administrative systems consistent with Club policies and procedures.
  • Reconciles all cash accounts and other balance sheet accounts on a regular basis.
  • Develops and maintains collaborative partnerships with Club staff, consultants, vendors, auditors, and service providers.
  • Assists CFO to maintain accurate and organized filing systems for all vendors, clients, and fixed assets.
  • Assists in compiling regular financial reports (budget variance reports, general ledger updates, etc.) to support decisionmaking.
  • Assists with payroll as directed.
  • Monitors daytoday accounting processes to identify opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Assists with annual audit and special projects as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:


_ Required:
_


  • Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or another related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with general ledger, reconciliations, receivables, and payables.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and internal/external customer service skills.
  • Flawless ethics and integrity.
  • Safety oriented mindset.

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or another related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with financial statements.
  • Experience in a nonprofit setting.
  • Indepth understanding of GAAP.
