Arabesque Conservatory of Music is excited to expand its educational offerings to include sports, specifically tennis, tailored for individuals with special needs.

Our program aims to foster physical health, enhance motor skills, and promote social interaction through the sport of tennis. We are seeking passionate, experienced, and patient Tennis Instructors to provide personalized tennis instruction on a contract basis.


Position Overview:


As a Tennis Instructor with Arabesque Conservatory of Music, you will deliver one-on-one tennis lessons to students with special needs, directly in their homes or at nearby suitable facilities.

This role involves teaching tennis fundamentals, techniques, and game strategies while adapting to the unique abilities and learning styles of each student.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assess each student's physical abilities, tennis skills, and goals to develop customized tennis training programs.
  • Teach basic to advanced tennis skills, including proper grip, stroke techniques, footwork, and game rules.
  • Provide supportive, engaging, and adaptive instruction to foster a love for tennis and encourage physical activity and skill development.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting training plans and teaching methods as necessary to maximize learning and enjoyment.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, and any involved professionals to provide updates on progress and discuss strategies for integrating tennis into the student's lifestyle.
  • Ensure a safe and productive learning environment, emphasizing safety protocols and injury prevention.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a Tennis Instructor with a strong ability to teach various aspects of the game.
  • Previous experience or training in working with individuals with special needs is highly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A nurturing, patient, and encouraging approach to teaching.
  • Must have reliable transportation for inhome visits or travel to suitable nearby facilities.
  • Available to commit to a contract position with flexible scheduling based on student needs.

Contract Details:


  • Instructors are expected to provide their own tennis equipment for lessons, including rackets, balls, and portable nets if necessary.
