- Diagnostic Testing: Use specialized tools and equipment to diagnose vehicle issues accurately. Interpret diagnostic results to identify mechanical problems.
- Maintenance Services: Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and scheduled servicing to manufacturer specifications.
- Repair Work: Execute complex repair jobs, including but not limited to engine rebuilds, transmission repairs, brake systems, steering mechanisms, and electronic systems.
- Customer Service: Communicate effectively with Advisors to explain vehicle problems, potential solutions, and the work performed. Offer recommendations for maintaining vehicle performance and longevity.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all repair and maintenance work meets company standards and customer satisfaction. Test drive vehicles post-repair to verify success of maintenance or repair work.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with all online courses with Hyundai and Genesis. Attend Classes as needed off site.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience as an Automotive Technician. Familiarity with all types of cars and sport utility vehicles.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Strong understanding of automotive technology and electrical systems.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Ability to work on complex issues with minimal supervision.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- This role requires working in a fast-paced service center environment.
- Technicians will be expected to work with a range of vehicles and systems.
- Physical demands include standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and performing tasks in confined spaces.
