- Investigate the nature of the damage being claimed
- Investigates incidents, and work-related accident investigation, accident reports, accident files, accident register.
- Provides various reports and analyzes, including safety trends. Develops cost saving recommendations. Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
- Evaluate police reports, video footage, previous insurance claims and other information to further understand the incident
- Create reports detailing the events and damage related to the claim
- Research the costs of repairs
- Review the claim-holder's insurance policy to determine what should be covered
- Coordinate the services of mechanics, architects, contractors, etc to ensure damage is repaired
- Negotiate claim settlements with claimants and/or their legal teams
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role is strongly preferred
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in Smartdrive and/or video-based technology.
- A strong attention to detail is necessary as claims adjusters must carefully review documents and policies.
- Skill and experience with negotiations
- A strong work ethic and time management skills to efficiently handle a large caseload.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Good verbal, written and relational communication skills, with ability to appropriately interact with employees of all levels including drivers, customers, senior management, client representatives, union officials and public.
- Fluent in English, Spanish a plus

Partnered with the benefits team, you will be responsible for managing the full scope of the claims process. You will work with Managers and Supervisors to investigate the claims, determine incident causes, help with paperwork, answer any questions the employees might have, and handle communication with the insurance providers. You will also provide necessary training to Managers and Supervisors to show them how to process claims.
