(PCC) Job Description
Good Therapy San Diego (GTSD) is a group private practice with locations in Encinitas, Sorrento Valley, & Oceanside. This opening is for an in-office role at the Encinitas location.

The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) role at GTSD is dynamic, with opportunities for growth in the company and mental health field.

This position is ideal for an aspiring psychotherapist or anyone that would like to learn more about running a private therapy practice.

The PCC role is the administrative backbone to Good Therapy San Diego's successful practice. The goal of each PCC is to provide exemplary customer service with quality client care and attention.

The PCC should be a skilled multi-tasker, able to regularly juggle multiple client needs while providing support to clinicians and completing daily tasks.

The PCC's are held to a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality, pursuant to HIPAA standards and state regulations.

PCC's are also expected to be punctual, fielding and responding to client and clinician communications as quickly as possible based on intake levels.

PCC's are not only organized and detailed, but also empathetic and nurturing to client needs.

PCC's will triage and assess level of care for incoming patients, as well as perform crisis intervention and provide resources and referrals for patients as needed.

The PCC's should assist new clients with the necessary paperwork as well as assist all clients with rescheduling/cancelling appointments, providing helpful resources and any billing questions or support.


  • Reporting Structure:_
  • The Patient Care Coordinator role is part of a collaborative team of PCC's, otherwise known as the "intake team." The intake team reports directly to the Operations Manager. In times when the Operations Manager is not available, depending on the level of attention needed, the PCC's may work with the Clinical Director for support.

Specific Responsibilities:

Client Care:
_Welcome and support all new patients, providing them with the proper intake paperwork and answering any questions.


Assess the level of care for new patients to determine if we are the correct facility to treat them and provide referrals/resources if we are not.

Performing crisis intervention and helping clients connect to the correct emergency services if needed.

Daily feedback calls for new patients from the previous day, ensuring negative feedback is tended to appropriately and transferring patients to different clinicians if necessary.

Assisting current patients with rescheduling appointments and updating billing information. Sending text reminders for new patients to complete their paperwork prior to their first session.

Clinician Support:
_Helping clinicians with client billing or scheduling needs wherever necessary.

Communicating with clients on behalf of the clinician when needed. Fielding space and office requests from the clinicians to the appropriate party.

Office Maintenance:
_Opening and closing of the office.


Biweekly inventory check-in's at the office, ensuring the office and clinicians have all the supplies they need and any office related issues can be addressed.

Watering the office plants on a biweekly basis.
- _Additional duties: _Daily posting on all GTSD social media accounts.

Perform other duties as assigned. This role is dynamic and adaptable as the needs of GTSD changes with growth and time.


Experience:

Technology is a requirement for this position. Should have a working understanding of Google Meet, Google Drive, and Gmail.

Hours:
Shifts are 5 hours each, must be available to work between the hours of 8am - 6pm Monday-Friday.

Full weekly schedule is TBD, however applicant should be available for a minimum of 2 shifts per week with opportunity for increase dependent on needs of business and level performance.

**Opportunity to take on more responsibilities and grow within the group practice. In addition, future opportunity for this to become a supervised counseling position (for those that are in or about to be in counseling graduate programs).
