- Maintain a value engineering mindset throughout development, design, and construction.
- Perform construction observation duties on assigned projects.
- Maintain records, construction quantities, checklists, daily reports, and documentation for construction administration projects in accordance with municipality requirements.
- Coordinate on-site materials testing.
- Perform work within both office and field settings.
- Apply current, standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to complete engineering tasks.
- Develop plans, specifications, and observation reports that are complete, accurate, and in accordance with engineering practices.
- Work closely with and guide engineering technicians and graduate engineers.
- Check design computations performed by the internal civil design team when appropriate.
- Prepare reports and correspondence concerning the direction of assigned projects.
- Review plans and specifications for accuracy, quality, constructability, safety, and risk management considerations.
- Work closely with business and engineering staff across multiple offices and technical disciplines.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent required.
- Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registration required.
- Minimum 2 years of civil engineering experience required.
- Excellent communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Experience in CAD Software Applications such as C3D or Bentley MicroStation preferred.

The selected candidate will be involved with the design of small to large multi-discipline projects. Candidates must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills and an ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
