    Background:
    For over 44 years, Urban Strategies, Inc. has assisted residents and community stakeholders to design and implement a wide range of transformative projects in distressed U.S. communities. Our mission is all children and families will be stable and thriving.

    Job Summary:

    The JOB PLUS Community Coach is responsible for managing all internal and external communications relevant to the JOB PLUS Project. The Community Coach must be hired from the community and will provide creative and administrative support to the project and must be an excellent communicator with dynamic social media and online community building experience, as well as a commitment and understanding of equity.

    Responsibilities:

    Assisting in the development and implementation of communications strategies designed to build awareness of and support for the project across ESTL.

    Keeping USI, HAESL, MAWIB and community partners continually informed of what the project is doing and achieving, and for building and maintaining awareness of the project among ESTL families and students.

    Producing quarterly reports to USI and HAESL leadership regarding project accomplishments, needs for support, and upcoming training opportunities, quarterly press releases seeking coverage of student achievements, and meeting notices and scheduling between and among community partners and the Advisory Board.

    Generating reports and analysis that measure the impact of digital media and advertising efforts on awareness and participation at the family and partner levels Facilitating effective internal communication strategies

    Developing a strategic community outreach plan that includes social media posts and school/community canvassing.

    Block walking, visiting schools, employment sites, connecting with teachers, residents, employers and attending community stakeholder meetings and events to build awareness of and create enthusiasm for the project.

    Compiling a contact registry of as many NNS families and students as possible.

    Producing and disseminating monthly newsletters to families detailing changes in schools, highlighting success stories, announcing on-campus special events, and providing timelines and reminders about the enrollment processes of SLPS magnet schools and area charter schools. Providing administrative support to the project and staff

    Creating or assisting with the development of presentations and reports

    Working collaboratively with other internal team members to ensure all content is consistent across all platforms.
