DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety Responsibilities

• Follow all Lock Out policies and procedures
• Follow all safety policies and procedures while completing repairs and modifications to equipment
• Use proper PPE as required to work safely

Equipment Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of all mill equipment including belted conveyers, chain transfers, pneumatic systems, and lumber manufacturing equipment
• Service of hydraulic / pneumatic systems including pumps, cylinders, and valves
• Limited trouble shooting of electrical components based on experience
• Some basic computer systems experience, training provided
• Must have a basic set of hand tools. Specialty tools are provided.

Production Responsibilities:

• Clearing jams and maintaining the flow of lumber
• Flexible hours, holiday and weekend work will be required based on the needs of the mill.
• Occasional fill in for production positions in case of crew shortages, covering of breaks, or training to understand proper function of the equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 year experience in industrial maintenance
• An applicable twoyear degree from a Technical College is a huge plus
• Superior troubleshooting skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Solid background in heavy industry and construction
• Knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process is an asset as well as experience with welding procedures and equipment reliability
• Must be able to pass a pre employment drug screen.

POSITION TYPE:

Full-Time/Regular. Beasley Forest Products currently operates 12-hour shifts, 5 days a week.

Day Shift is from 5:00AM - 5:00PM.

Night Shift is from 5:00PM - 5:00AM.

Weekend work will be required as the equipment is available for maintenance repair.
