    Join a leading global specialty chemical and equipment company as we search for an Operations Engineering Manager to spearhead our specialty chemical division.

    This exciting opportunity is based at our Cranston, RI location, offering a pivotal role in shaping our operations and driving innovation in the field of specialty chemicals.

    Client Details

    For over 75 years, the organization has been a prominent provider of specialized chemicals, custom finishing equipment, engineered powders, and analytical control systems to diverse industries including electronic components, printed circuit boards, semiconductors, industrial finishing, and decorative applications.

    Description
    The Operations Engineering Manager will be responsible for:
    Oversee the manufacturing operations of precious metal products in a single-shift, five-day-per-week setting.
    Support the chemical manufacturing team in addressing various operational challenges and driving improvement initiatives.
    Efficiently schedule and prioritize production of precious metal products.
    Create and execute plans to enhance yield, increase productivity, and improve quality, incorporating semiconductor-compliant protocols where applicable.
    Effectively manage and optimize departmental budgets, including capital and operational expenditures.

    Facilitate communication with functional and departmental managers to ensure clear understanding of operational objectives, production performance, and improvement plans.

    Ensure compliance with company and regulatory EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) policies and protocols.
    Develop and implement safety improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety.
    Profile
    The successful Operations Engineering Manager will have what follows:
    Associate's degree (ASc) in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field is required.
    Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in production and/or process engineering management within a chemical production setting.
    Comprehensive understanding of EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) protocols applicable to chemical manufacturing.
    Desired minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience leading chemical production teams.
    Experience in production of precious metal specialty products and refining operations is a plus.
    Familiarity with semiconductor quality and manufacturing protocols is advantageous.
