    Role Overview



    STV is currently looking to fill a key position as an Electrical Engineering Specialist within the Transportation and Infrastructure division at our Chicago office, part of the Centers of Excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for producing electrical design drawings, specifications, reports, and studies for electrified railway projects. The position involves working predominantly in an office setting and reporting to the Chief Engineer or their designee in the Traction Power Department.



    Role Responsibilities

    • Undertake electrical engineering tasks within the Traction Power Engineering Department.
    • Prepare a diverse range of power systems design drawings and specifications.
    • Generate engineering design criteria, reports, and technical specifications.
    • Conduct various studies and calculations related to power systems.
    • Participate in onsite inspections, tests, and commissioning activities.
    • Collaborate with clients, utility representatives, and internal departments.


    Key Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in power distribution system design.
    • Excellent communication skills and team collaboration abilities.
    • Proficiency in technical writing and using engineering software.
    • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar CAD tools.
    • Knowledge of power system analysis and circuit analysis software.
    • Adherence to safety regulations in the field.


    Desired Qualifications

    • Professional Engineering (PE) license or striving to attain one.


    Compensation Package:



    $90,000 - $120,648.00
