    The Staff Accountant Role at PublicSquare
    PublicSquare is searching for a full time Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. This position would be fully immersed in the accounting and bookkeeping for several of PSQH's wholly owned subsidiaries. Our subsidiaries sell direct-to-consumer products and offer products
    and services directly to other businesses.

    Roles and Responsibilities:


    • Process daily cash entries, coding bank transactions to the appropriate general ledger account and department, reconciliations of cash, etc.
    • Fixed asset schedule maintenance including addition or retirement of fixed assets during the month, calculation of monthly depreciation and proposal of monthly journal entries relating to such activity
    • Additional responsibilities around other asset schedules as skills develop (e.g. intangibles, prepaids, etc.)
    • Corporate credit card transaction coding and reconciliation to the general ledger. Ensure proper supporting documentation, receipts, approvals, etc. are on file.
    • Review and submit all expense reports in line with the Company Expense Policy
    • Assist with various monthly and quarterly reconciliations
    • Submit journal entries at month end and quarter end related to ASC 842
    • Support management in quarterly and annual financial statement reviews and audits
    • Ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed

    Qualifications:


    • Alignment with PublicSquare company values
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Previous experience as staff accountant in an industry position or public accounting firm a plus
    • High attention to detail
    • Willingness to learn and take ownership of mistakes
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Proficient in Google Suite
