    JOB TITLE: Middle School ELA Teacher

    Central Queens Academy Charter Schools (CQA) is dedicated to serving the diverse communities of Elmhurst, Corona, and Woodside in Queens. Our goal is to provide quality education to students from various cultural backgrounds, with a focus on preparing them for success in college and beyond.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop engaging lesson plans based on school and curriculum guidelines
    • Adapt lesson plans to cater to diverse student needs and stay updated with educational trends
    • Manage students with varying abilities and track their progress
    • Ensure a safe and positive learning environment
    • Implement school-wide practices for effective classroom management
    • Communicate regularly with school leadership and other staff
    • Participate in professional development and school meetings
    • Demonstrate strong organization and data analysis skills

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree required
    • Master's Degree preferred
    • NYS Certification highly preferred
    • Minimum of two to three years of ELA teaching experience

    COMPENSATION

    • Competitive salary based on experience ($70,000-$85,000)
