WHO WE ARE & PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Overnight Residential Advisor will provide residential clients with supportive services in a positive and nurturing environment using an integrated, multidisciplinary team approach.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- (Responsibilities to include but not limited to the following)_
- Assist in the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of the clients' holistic plan
- Maintain documentation of clients' activities on the unit and during their residency with the Agency
- Monitor client activities to ensure a safe and secure environment and conduct room searches
- Provide group support services such as escorting clients to the cafeteria for meals, recreation, group therapy sessions, and special activities
- Participate in team, casemanagement, and staff meetings
- Generate a monthly report and contract documentation as needed by the case manager and social worker
- Conduct workshops on various lifeskill issues, such as hygiene, anger
management, selfesteem, and problemsolving - Regular attendance and punctuality are essential to provide proper coverage of the unit

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Education & Experience

High School/GED with 1 year of relevant work experience required
Bachelors Degree Preferred:
- Experience working with atrisk youth is strongly preferred.
- Driver's license preferred. Comfortability driving a 7passenger van is a plus.
Knowledge/Skills
- Excellent organizational skills to develop living situations for young adults.
- Ability to monitor and deescalate in a crisis situation.
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize assignments and work in a fastpaced environment.
- Flexible work schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Dedicated to the mission of Covenant House.
Shift 3_ 10:00 pm - 8:00 am
Hourly rate:
$17.79
Annual $37k
Compensation

PTO includes 3 weeks of vacation in the first year, 10 holidays, 13 sick days, 5 personal days, and birthday days off.
