Are you a dedicated pharmacist looking for flexible work arrangements in the heart of Manhattan, NY? Look no further We're seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist to join our dynamic retail team on a per diem basis.
Operating Monday through Friday, with shifts available anytime between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, you'll enjoy the flexibility of working 1 to 3 shifts per week, starting as soon as possible.
As a key member of our team, you'll undertake a range of responsibilities, including accurately dispensing medications, providing invaluable patient counseling, managing medication inventory, verifying prescriptions, and promoting community health and wellness initiatives.
To excel in this role, you'll need to hold a valid NY Pharmacist licensure, possess at least 1 year of related experience, and be based locally in the Manhattan area.

Duties:

Dispensing Medications:
Retail pharmacists are responsible for accurately dispensing prescription medications to patients based on their doctor's orders, ensuring the correct dosage and medication are provided.
2.Patient Counseling:
Pharmacists in retail settings often provide valuable counseling to patients regarding their medications, including dosage instructions, potential side effects, drug interactions, and proper usage.
3.Medication Management:
Retail pharmacists manage inventory levels of medications, ensuring adequate stock is maintained while minimizing expired or outdated medications. They also oversee the ordering and receiving of medication supplies from wholesalers.
4.
Prescription Verification:
Retail pharmacists verify the accuracy and validity of prescriptions, ensuring they are correctly written and appropriate for the patient's condition.
They may also consult with physicians or other healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions when necessary.5.
Health Promotion:
Retail pharmacists play a role in promoting health and wellness within their communities by offering advice on over-the-counter medications, vitamins, supplements, and lifestyle modifications.
