- Master's degree.
- Five years of leadership experience (Director, Department Chair, Associate Dean, etc.) in Academic Affairs in a higher education setting.
- Three years of supervisory experience in a higher education setting.
- Proven expertise planning and implementing strategic initiatives.
- Proven expertise with data collection, data analysis, and clear communication of outcomes to broad audiences.
- Demonstrated experience developing materials and facilitating campus activities to acquire or maintain regional institutional accreditation.
- Demonstrated contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in past work or volunteer experiences.
- Earned terminal degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Demonstrated expertise using data to informed decision-making and develop continuous quality improvement initiatives in a higher education setting.
- Demonstrated experience serving as a liaison to a regional accrediting body.

Reporting directly to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Assistant Provost for Academic Effectiveness will utilize a data-informed approach to providing vision, leadership, and administrative oversight to Academic Affairs, with the intended outcome of enhancing student success.
The Assistant Provost will advise the Provost on academic matters and work collaboratively with administrators, faculty, and staff to achieve university- level and academic affairs objectives.
Additionally, the Assistant Provost will serve as the University liaison to the Higher Learning Commission and provide leadership for institutional and program-specific accreditation activities.
