- Build relationships with students to support their academic progress and emotional well-being.
- Offer academic support such as reading clubs, math clubs, sensory room assistance, and specialized support for students with ADHD and Autism.
- Develop and update support plans based on assessments, keeping student records confidential.
- Arrange testing accommodations and provide access to assistive technology for learning support.
- Offer guidance and resources to families.
- Provide advice on assessments, tutoring, and external support services.
- Assist families through assessment procedures and manage assessment paperwork.
- Engage with district services and attend relevant meetings.
- Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and implement necessary support strategies.
- Provide advice on accommodations, conduct meetings, and assess student needs in classrooms.
- Administer educational programs like Lexia Core 5 and MAP testing.
- Oversee student support activities with the Student Success Teaching Assistant in the Lower School.
- Communicate effectively with Division Directors and the Administration regarding student achievements and support plans.
- Participate in Student Support Teams for the Lower and Middle School divisions.
- Consult with the Admissions Team on enrollment and student records.
- Bachelor's Degree in education, special education, social work, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in a learning support role.
- Ability to interpret educational assessments and create support plans based on results.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Master's Degree in Special Education or related field.
- Training or licensure in special education/learning disabilities.
- Experience with multi-sensory reading and math programs.
- Knowledge of attention-deficit and Autism spectrum disorders.

Mounds Park Academy is a PreK-12 independent school in Saint Paul, MN that serves approximately 575 students from throughout the Twin Cities area. Mounds Park Academy is looking for a Student Success Learning Specialist to join the school for the upcoming academic year. The role involves collaborating with students, parents, teachers, and school directors in the Lower and Middle School divisions. The Student Success Learning Specialist will work within a team to develop tailored learning strategies and cultivate an inclusive and culturally sensitive learning atmosphere for all students. This position reports to the Lower School Director and also receives guidance from the Middle School Director.
