The Hire Mark is Recruiting a VP of Finance for a Property Management Company in Beverly Hills.

This is a full time, in-person role with pay from 150k-200k+

Team Oversight:
Directly oversees 1-2 team members


Experience Requirements:


  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Finance Director or Controller in real estate or property management
  • Strong background as a controller in real estate or property management
  • Hedge fund experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing cash flows

Responsibilities:

1.


Financial Reporting:


  • Prepare Profit and Loss (P&L) statements for properties
  • Monthly consolidation of financial data
  • Develop property cash flow statements
  • Execute fund movements
2.


Hedge Fund Portfolio Management:


  • Coordinate with third parties for hedge fund and bond transactions
  • Prepare trial balances for hedge fund portfolios
  • Understand trusts and entities related to the hedge fund
3.


Entity Management:


  • Open bank accounts, LLCs, and other entities as needed
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards

Loans:


  • Manage loanrelated transactions and documentation
5.


Payroll Oversight:


  • Act as the point person for external payroll services
  • Review and approve payroll processes
6.


Insurance Renewals:


  • Oversee the renewal process for insurance policies
7.


Team Management:


  • Provide oversight and guidance to the controller and bookkeeper
  • Ensure accurate financial recordkeeping and reporting
8.


Property Management/Real Estate Background:


  • Utilize knowledge and experience in property management and real estate
  • Familiarity with Yardi software is desirable
9.


Tax Preparation:


  • Contribute to tax preparation activities

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • CPA or relevant professional certification is preferred
  • Excellent understanding of cash flow management
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
