Mark's Church will come together to build a vibrant intergenerational ministry both in downtown Melbourne and in the Indialantic (beachside) community.

Position Overview

The Director of Modern Worship will help create, plan, and lead two engaging worship experiences that are authentic and connect with the people in each worshiping community.

This position will also invest time and energy into recruiting and equipping new persons to serve in various worship and production support related roles.

Overtime, the worship and production support team will begin to function as one team supporting two locations.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead engaging worship experiences with excitement and vision at both campuses
• 9:00am Modern Worship at First Church
• 11:00am Modern Worship at St. Mark's UMC _(1015 min commute between campuses)_
• Recruit, equip, develop, and lead volunteer support teams
• Oversee all audio/video and musical elements pertaining to weekend worship at modern services for both locations including paid and volunteer staff (paid staffweekly tech support)
• Prepare weekly worship media
• Responsible for scheduling and organizing volunteer band members, preparing tracks for worship services, and lead stand up preworship meeting
• Selects 23 songs of recorded music to be shared at weekly beach service
• Attends weekly staff meeting and worship planning meeting
• Provide worship support for various church events, and several special worship services outside of Sunday worship throughout the year. (Womens Conference, Charge Conference, VBS as needed)
• Be a team player with other staff
• Invest in the local music community to develop new relationships
