JOB SUMMARY:


The Logistic Specialist is responsible for providing administrative and audit support for the logistics department and functional teams.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Review and process freight invoices and payment terms for both dedicated and 3PL providers for all Operations
  • Track and monitor Freight Claim process for all of Operations.
  • Assist and support annual budgeting, lease payments for fleet CAR process, and carrier negotiations.
  • Create and run ad hoc reports to support Logistics and crossfunctional departments.
  • Create daily reporting and distribute.
  • Assist Logistics Analyst with monthly reporting, forecasting, accruals, and annual budgeting as needed.
  • Assist with monthly spreadsheets and reports to support Logistics department KPIs.
  • Marking all shipment shipped in Frontier system to included common carrier, LTL, UPS, and drop ships.
  • Prepare weekly run reports for CWG drivers for Thompsontown drivers
  • Back up shipping office is needed during absences to ensure all paperwork is completed and loads are ready to ship on time.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:


  • High School diploma or GED and 3 years' experience, or Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field.
  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with external customers.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:


  • Transportation billing experience.
  • Prior ERP experience (Oracle, SAP).

  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to use office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, fax machines, and printers. This may require fine motor skills and dexterity.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasional lifting and carrying of office supplies, documents, and other materials, typically not exceeding a certain weight limit (e.g., 20 pounds).
  • Mobility: Ability to move within the office environment to access filing cabinets, printers, and other office equipment.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders directly in person or via electronic communication.
  • Visual Acuity: Ability to read printed and electronic documents, as well as distinguish colors, for tasks such as proofreading and reviewing documents.
  • Multitasking: The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work effectively, which may require mental agility and adaptability.
