Overview:
The Shipping/Receiving Clerks perform clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods and receiving incoming shipments. In performing day-to-day, routine tasks, the Contractor follows established USCG guidelines and policy. In handling unusual non-routine problems, the clerk receives specific guidance from Comptroller and Base Operations Department personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verifying that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents
- Ensuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles, and preparing and keeping records of goods shipped, e.g. manifests, bills of lading, etc.
- Verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded
- damaged goods, ensuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment, and preparing and keeping records of goods received.
- Serve as point of contact for the USCGHQ Loading Dock
- Coordinates inbound/outbound shipments with Government Mover, FE and CSS Departments
- Coordinates customer pickups from the loading dock
- Manage inventory of various office supplies, as well as ensuring sufficient supply of ( Federal
- Express (Fed Ex), United Parcel Service (UPS), United States Postal Service, (USPS) materials as applicable are on hand.
- Counts material, equipment and posts to inventory records, manually or using a computer.
- Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.
- Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
- Assist the Base NCR Government Vehicle Motor Pool Manager by processing vehicle requests, performing vehicle refuels and taking vehicles into dealer for maintenance and/or repairs.
- Assist the Government Property Analyst with property inventories.
- Assist the Government Property Analyst with disposal of excess property.
- Assist Government Mover with job requests.
- Deliver printer paper to copy rooms throughout the USCGHQ building
- Other duties, tasks, and projects, as assigned
