Posting Summary

  • Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey has an opening a Program Assistant in the Center for Professional Development within the School of Nursing located in Newark, NJ. The Program Assistant will provide administrative and program support for the Assistant Dean and Director of the Center for Education Research and Innovation (CERI), the Center for Clinical Learning (CCL), and the Center for Professional Development (CPD). The Program Assistant is responsible for departmental operational functions, prioritization of essential duties and responsibilities, and providing resolutions where applicable. Under direction, is responsible for coordinating the administrative, fiscal, contractual, and regulatory activities. s.

Among the duties for this position are:

  • Coordinate aspects of the Center for Educational Research and Innovation (CERI) and Center for Professional Development (CPD) programs, activities, and functions, including but not limited to:
  • Maintain records and databases.
  • Prepare program agendas, materials, evaluations, and certificates.
  • Assist in programming and managing data related to reports, surveys, and forms.
  • Coordinate content of various materials for programs and activities, including but not limited to: brochures, flyers, and catalogs.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations.
  • Maintain financial records and databases, monitors revenue and expenditures, and facilitates all financial contracts, forms and transactions through each approval phase to completion.
  • Process payments and purchase orders.
  • Assist in researching purchase information and submission of requisitions.
  • Ensure compliance with University, government, regulatory, and/or funding agency policies, procedures, and documents.
  • Oversee the departmental calendars, including but not limited to: scheduling facilities, meetings, programs, and events.
  • Develop timelines to monitor workflow, maintains accurate records of followup procedures, and tracks activities for all ongoing administrative functions. Contribute innovative ideas related to administrative operations and systems within the department.
