Earthmoving Grade Checker - Irvine, United States - AMPCO

Description

• Utilize surveying instruments and GPS technology to accurately measure and check grade levels on earthmoving sites.
• Work closely with equipment operators and foremen to ensure earthmoving activities meet project specifications and requirements.
• Verify the alignment and elevation of surfaces, including roads, foundations, and drainage systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify any deviations from design plans and provide recommendations for adjustments.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address graderelated issues and ensure project objectives are met.
• Maintain detailed records of grade measurements, survey data, and project progress.
• Assist in the training and development of earthmoving crew members on grade checking techniques and procedures.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to promote a safe working environment.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in grade checking or a related field.
• Proficiency in operating surveying instruments and GPS technology.
• Strong understanding of earthmoving operations and construction processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret project plans and specifications.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Problemsolving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
• Position will involve working on both private and prevailing wage projects.
