The salary range for this role is $52,000-$57,000.


What you'll be responsible for:


You will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality programming to support the integration of refugees and eligible immigrants in Illinois.

The Jewish Federation of Chicago works in partnership with the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) to administer vital funding from the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) for Refugee Support Services (RSS) to contracted agencies across the state.

Your contributions will be instrumental in ensuring exceptional program quality, compliance, and reporting as well as helping facilitate trainings and assisting with administrative tasks.


What you'll be doing:


Programmatic Responsibilities:

  • Visit funded agencies across Illinois to monitor programs, ensure documentation and case files are maintained appropriately, evaluate program compliance, and complete monitoring reports.
  • Provide technical assistance and facilitate training both inperson and remotely.
  • Participate in external stakeholder meetings and working groups on behalf of the agency.

Data & Reporting Responsibilities:

  • Review annual agency program projections and coordinate revisions with agencies.
  • Aggregate programmatic data to help inform program design, develop new reports and dashboards within Salesforce as needed or requested by IDHS and agency partners.
  • Track refugee and asylee arrivals by agency across state and federal fiscal years.
  • Analyze and input data for quarterly and annual state and federal reports.
  • Regularly share performance outcome analysis and metrics with each funded agency.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Schedule meetings: draft/distribute meeting summaries, agendas, and materials. Responsible for meeting arrangements and setting up zoom calls.
  • Convene and facilitate agency working groups to share best practices and coordination of services.
  • Coordinate the sharing of information and materials between agencies, the Jewish Federation of Chicago, and IDHS.

What you need to succeed:


  • Required
  • Interest in refugee resettlement activities and commitment to high quality services
  • Quantitative and analytical skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a social services field or equivalent experience
  • A strong foundational understanding of social service provision
  • 2+ years professional experience strongly desired
  • Ability to travel to agency offices throughout Illinois for site visits and monitoring
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products
  • PREFERRED
  • Master's degree in social work, nonprofit administration, or relevant field
  • Personal lived experience or professional experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles, background in training and/or monitoring and evaluation
  • Experience with Salesforce
