- Reviews and makes recommendations for Quality Assurance plans, guidelines, policies, and processes that support the achievement of Quality targets
- Conducts Quality Assurance processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.
- Provides production process analysis, ensuring quality standards are met and proposing quality improvements.
- Collects and analyzes quality information for the development of quality strategy and programs.
- Analyzes quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.
- Support Non-Conforming material disposition
- Experience and working knowledge of the SAP system to support MRB transactions.
- Support Receiving Inspection and review of the parts per the engineering drawings and specifications.
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
- Prior quality experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with the Material Review Board and material disposition.
- Familiarity with the aerospace industry is preferred.
- Familiar with the AS9100 standard by supporting internal audits and RCCA.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing and BOM structure..

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for improving internal and external manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and test processes to reduce and prevent defects and prevent quality escapes to our customers. Also, will provide quality engineering support, conduct technical investigations, perform relentless root cause analysis, and implement immediate risk containment measures and systemic mistake proof solutions to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance. This position requires strong oral communication skills and computer skills with the ability to summarize complex issues into executive level presentations.
This is an onsite role that sits at our Fairchild Road location in Winston-Salem, NC.
May be eligible for relocation.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
