Position Summary
To perform all tasks related to the production of fireproofing material in a safe and efficient manner.
Job Location:
Santa Ana, CA
Compensation:
$22-$24, depending on experience
Shift: 2nd, Monday-Thursday 1:30pm-11:30pm - must be willing to work overtime when needed, including Friday-Sunday as required by the business
Essential Functions
- Complies with all plant safety and quality policies.
- Operates all production equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Performs all jobs related to production, including but not limited to the PIPS Operator, the Bagger, the Line 2 Operator, the Line 1 Operator, the Raw Material Charger, the Rover, and the Forklift Driver
Secondary Functions
- Maintains PIPS levels by continually feeding PIPS into the system.
- Continually maintains bag levels in the D-Stacker for Line
- Monitors the automated bagging operation on Line 2 and adjusts as needed to ensure proper operation.
- Periodically reviews the process trends in the control room and adjusts the process as appropriate.
- Responds appropriately to rejects and miss spouts for Line
- Keeps all the raw material hoppers charged with material, for Line 1 or Line
- Manually bags and palletizes finished product for Line
- Reprocesses all rejects from Line
- Takes finished product pallets and stores the material in the warehouse using a forklift.
- Brings over raw materials and chargers raw material hoppers using a forklift.
- Stretch wraps pallets as required.
- Date and time stamps pallets of finished product for Line 1. Ensures that the time and date coder for Line 2 is functioning properly.
- Performs daily housekeeping assignments.
- Completes the daily shift report.
- Participates in the daily safety huddles.
- Performs other more intensive housekeeping activities as required by management.
- Assists in completing monthly EH&S inspections.
- Participates in the monthly safety committee meetings.
- Assists in putting pallet covers on material as required.
- Covers breaks for other employees to maintain proper plant operation.
- Other tasks and assignments as deemed necessary by management.
Prerequisites
- Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English in order to effectively carry out the job tasks.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a strong work ethic and safety attitude.
- Forklift experience/certification preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Hours of Work
- Standard 10hour shifts, 40 hours a week, or as directed by the Plant Manager
- Must be willing to work overtime which may be 12hour shifts, Fridays, and/or Saturdays.
- Regular attendance is mandatory.

Pay:
$ $24.00 per hour
