    Job Opportunity: Analytical Development Team Lead

    About the Client:

    Our client is a pioneering vaccine innovation company dedicated to engineering high-fidelity vaccines for the prevention and treatment of bacterial diseases. With a focus on broad-spectrum conjugate and novel protein vaccines, they are committed to advancing public health through groundbreaking research and development.

    Job Summary:

    We are currently seeking a dynamic Analytical Development Team Lead to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting ongoing developmental activities within their laboratory.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the development of analytical methods for characterizing drug products, substances, intermediates, and critical raw materials.
    • Oversee end-to-end method development for characterizing proteins, bacterial polysaccharides, polysaccharide-protein conjugates, and adjuvanted vaccine products.
    • Drive analytical innovation, keeping abreast of cutting-edge technology, and implementing novel approaches as needed.
    • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to the analytical characterization team.
    • Manage personnel performance and development to ensure organizational and departmental goals are met.
    • Collaborate with Formulations and Process Development teams to provide analytical solutions for process understanding and troubleshooting.
    • Author technical reports and analytical methods.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

    Requirements:

    • PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field with 5+ years of relevant industry experience; or MS/BS with 8+ years of industry experience in Pharma/Biotech.
    • Proven leadership skills with outstanding organization and planning abilities.
    • Strong scientific leadership to guide method development and troubleshoot issues.
    • Track record of analytical development leadership, preferably in biologics and small molecules; experience with vaccines, carbohydrates, or conjugates is advantageous.
    • Expertise in analytical technologies such as U/HPLC, IC, mass spectrometry, etc., applied to protein analytical method development and validation for GMP release and stability testing.
    • Experience in carbohydrate and conjugate analysis highly desired.
    • Excellent attention to detail, record-keeping, and documentation skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and collaborate effectively with team members.
    • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new concepts.
    • All employees must be vaccinated against COVID-19.
