U.S. Traffic Control was founded by roadway workers to protect roadway workers.

We have 20 years of experience working roadside in multiple industries, including Tree Services & Vegetation Management, Construction, Utilities, and Disaster Response & Recovery for both the public and the private sector.

Tree work ingrains a special respect for traffic control, and safety is of the highest importance to a positive outcome for each roadside worker's day.


Responsibilities:


-Setup, maintain, and remove temporary work zones including warning signs, traffic cones, stop slow paddles, and rumble strips.

  • Communicating with other flaggers using handheld radios to direct twoway traffic onto a single lane.
  • Informing the tree crews of any traffic issues that may affect their safety.
  • Using hand signals and direction signs to direct traffic around road construction sites.
  • Read and comprehend Wilhelm's safety manual and employee handbook to comply with policies.
  • Communicate to ensure that automobiles and pedestrians do not interfere with or pose a danger to laborers and their projects.
  • Appropriately positioning warning and detour signs around project locations.
  • Direct traffic at construction sites to ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians, and motorists
  • Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades
  • Communicate effectively with construction crews to coordinate traffic flow
  • Monitor traffic patterns and adjust control measures as needed
  • Maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on site

Requirements:


  • You
    MUST pass a drug screen and background check prior to employment.
  • You
    MUST have valid driver's license and clean driving record for a minimum of three years.
  • You
    MUST be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Sound knowledge of state traffic regulations
  • Be able to work in all weather conditions and tolerate varying climates of heat, cold, and rain.
  • Be able to stand throughout your entire shift, hand and arm movement is required.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
  • We prefer tohave a Certification through the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA).
