    Assistant Clinical Professor/Clinical Lecturer

    Job Summary:
    Assistant Clinical Professor/Clinical Lecturer with a primary teaching assignment in our Undergraduate Inclusive Licensure Program (general and special education) and Graduate Special Education (GSEP) Program. Successful applicants would be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of teacher preparation, demonstrate effectiveness as an instructor in both an in-person and online environment, advise students, and provide service to the department and university. Appointment begins in August 2024.

    College of Education, Health and Society (EHS): Founded in 1902, the College of Education, Health, and Society was Miami University's first professional school and home to Miami's first graduate of color. The College embraces the rich opportunities available for cross-disciplinary collaboration across its six departments (Educational Leadership; Educational Psychology; Family Science and Social Work; Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health; Sport Leadership and Management; and Teacher Education).

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Doctoral degree in special education or closely related field by date of appointment and 5 years relevant professional experience in a K-12 or related setting for appointment to Assistant Clinical Professor. Master's degree in special education or closely related field and 5 years relevant professional experience in a K-12 or related setting for appointment to Assistant Clinical Lecturer.

    Desired Qualifications:
    Consideration may be given to candidates with any of the following:
    • Experience teaching in inclusive school-based settings
    • Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practices in inclusive education
    • Engagement with anti-racist, anti-ableist, anti-oppressive, culturally-responsive, sustaining pedagogies; student-centered and socioemotional pedagogies and practices
    • Expertise in the area of Disability Studies, Disability Studies in Education, or Critical Special Education
    • Experience teaching and/or developing high-quality online courses.
    • Expertise and/or teaching experience related to one or more disciplines in the Department of Educational Psychology such as Learning Science and Human Development, School Psychology, Instructional Design and Technology, or Disability Studies.
