The DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH is known as a specialist in vegetation maintenance along the entire railway network of Deutsche Bahn. We secure all types of track construction sites with state-of-the-art technology and support railway projects with the transportation of materials. Seven branches with 36 regional service areas nationwide manage the maintenance of approximately kilometers of track.

We are currently looking for a Vegetation Service Manager (m/f/d) for DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH at our Potsdam location, initially for a period of 18 months.
Your responsibilities:

Your main task is the professional management of our employees. They are responsible for vegetation work in Potsdam and the surrounding area, monitor the tree population, perform cleaning tasks, and assist with winter maintenance.
You ensure that measures are implemented economically and safely, and that both employees and subcontractors are aware of their tasks, when, where, and how to carry them out.
This includes daily adjustments according to priorities, vegetation development, and weather conditions.
You monitor the results according to agreed quality standards and ensure compliance with nature, species, and occupational safety regulations.
In consultation with the service area manager, you conduct customer meetings, prepare quotes, and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
Your work is approximately 80% office-based in Berlin/home office and 20% in the region.
