Position Summary:Performs assigned scrub duties, assists with patient care and assures optimum quality patient care using a team approach.Performs services requiring technical and manual skills under the direction of the Circulating RN.Performs assigned scrub dutiesAssists in maintenance of a clean and orderly environmentAssists with patient careCommunicates with charge nursesParticipates in continuing educationApplies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate policies and proceduresReports to: Director of Surgical ServicesMinimum EducationGraduate of a Program for Surgical Technology -or- candidate must have had 2 years experience as a Surgical Technologist prior to the requirement of Surgical Technologist DiplomaRequired SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
