We are seeking a candidate who enjoys learning, providing exceptional customer service, and is passionate about assisting Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) operators with learning about procurement policy and regulations as it relates to local, state, and federal procurement guidance.

    Telework / Remote Work Information: This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Specific telework arrangements may be discussed in more detail with the respective hiring manager.     Working Conditions

    This work location is very convenient The CDSS is located two blocks from the light rail and public transportation: within walking distance to the State Capitol, parks, restaurants, farmer's markets and the Golden 1 Arena. Our building has easy access to I-5, Highway 50, and Highway 80.

    The Community Procurement Unit (CPU) was created to provide collaborative support to assist agencies in the operational components of procurement within the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). The CPU will provide technical assistance, resources, and educational guidance based on federal procurement policy guidance and regulations. The CPU does not oversee compliance or conduct on-site or off-site procurement reviews.

    The CPU works in partnership with the CACFP team. The CACFP Branch works directly with program participants, often referred to as program operators, sponsors, or agencies.

The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) serves as documentation of each candidate's ability to present written information clearly and concisely.
