    The Cary Company is seeking an ambitious and innovative individual with a passion for storytelling and an attention to detail to support our Addison, IL office as an SEO Content Writer/Copywriter. You will work on a small team reporting to the Digital Marketing Team Lead and collaborate closely with the Creative and Marketing teams to develop effective communication and boost brand awareness. The ideal candidate will think beyond the immediate scope of the job and understand the larger picture of the company.

    Responsibilities:

    • Research and develop engaging content for products, descriptions, social media posts, email campaigns, etc.
    • Proofread and edit work to meet style guidelines and ensure proper grammar and spelling
    • Collaborate closely with our Creative and Marketing teams to cultivate and execute new, effective marketing campaigns
    • Understand and implement the brand and company story throughout our website and marketing materials
    • Maintain a focus on user experience for our eCommerce site to maximize usability, design, content and conversion
    • Use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to increase online visibility
    • Keep up-to-date with best practices in online writing, social media trends, web usability, web design and business/industry trends

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in English/Marketing/Communications/Public Relations /Advertising/Journalism or related field
    • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with a superior knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation
    • Experience with HTML and CSS a plus
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as a team member
    • Positive attitude and ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
