Compensation:
Starts at $58,000

$300 Sign-on Bonus After Completion of the 90-day Probationary Period

Summary/Objective

Midwest Goods is looking to hire a successful content writer to be responsible for style and format consistency across all projects and communicating with other team members to produce the best writing possible.

Your role will be crucial to attracting potential customers to our brand by producing compelling content that our business' target market may be interested in reading about.

Essential Functions:

Contribute innovative ideas to brainstorming sessions and write persuasive and impactful headers and supporting copy for multiple platforms.
Create alluring and authentic narratives that enhance retail product appeal.
Help in developing content that entices social engagement and followership.
Review and edit content to eliminate errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic.
Identify customers' needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics.
Manage advertising campaigns and coordinate open house events.
Ability to travel to trade shows.
Ability to research and stay on top of Vaping trends.

Required Skills:

Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and manage an everchanging and fastpaced workload.
Desire and flexibility to assume the roles of individual contributor, team player and leader simultaneously as the organization evolves.
Experience working retail, lifestyle brand and/or ecommerce a plus, Some HTML and CSS is preferred however not mandatory.
Experience using editors in Content management system like WordPress.
Some image editing experience in photoshop resize, crop etc.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field. Combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. At least 3 years' experience in advertising/marketing agency or in-house marketing department

Must have intermediate computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Photoshop, and knowledge of Google‐based programs such as google sheets/Docs.

Work Authorization
Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
