**Position Summary:**

**Key Responsibilities and Duties:**

Make outgoing calls to NWH's established carrier base to tender truck loads and secure bookings for existing customer orders.

Negotiate truck load spot rates using a pricing tool.

Identify opportunities with our carriers to develop multiple shipment legs and new lanes.

Track and report inventory and deliveries.

Respond to shipping complaints, lost product, and damages.

Use TMS (Transportation Management System) data for analysis.

Freight reconciliation with Accounts Payable.

Problem solve day-to-day operations.

Support, assist, and collaborate with other team members of the Domestic Transportation and the Supply Chain organization.

Other duties as assigned.

**Competencies:**

Excel in, and enjoy, building relationships with our carrier base over the phone.

Ability to work closely with individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and geographies.

Data analytic skills.

Familiarity with production software systems for performing day-to-day planning and prioritization of shipments in collaboration with product management, sales managers, and the sales team.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to learn and adapt to a changing team-based work environment.

Very high comfort level with phones, MS Suite, learning job-related software.

Organizational skills, which include management of multiple priorities, working well under pressure, learning in a changing environment, and attention to detail.

Ability to shift priorities and manage time effectively, completing a variety of work with changing deadlines accurately and on time.

TMS experience.

**Basic Qualifications:**

High School Diploma required.

Minimum 1 year experience in logistics, supply chain or transportation.

Basic MS Excel skill.

Must be personable over the phone (minimal e-mail correspondence)

Minimum 1 year experience with telephone calls.

Truck brokerage experience.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

Bachelors degree preferred.

1+ years experience in logistics, supply chain or transportation.

Experience in transportation management systems.

**Reporting Structure and Location**

This position will report directly to the Domestic Transportation Manager.

Training period may last up to 2-3 weeks per session and takes place in another state beyond TX.

Involves being onsite 5 days a week initially during training. After employee consistently meets daily/weekly load goals independently and competently, manager may permit hybrid work from office 3 days/week and remotely twice a week.

Full-time position based out of Frisco, TX vicinity. No relocation assistance available. Candidates within driving distance of Frisco will be considered.

Overtime Pay Eligible.
