Thompson, IA is currently seeking a permanent position as Director of Organization/Internal Services (m/f/d) within the Department of Personnel/Organization, to be filled as soon as possible with a weekly working time of 39.0 or 40.0 hours. The salary is based on pay group 10 TVöD or A11 NBesG.
Thompson, IA is an independent city with approximately 51,000 inhabitants.

It is located between the state capital of Hannover and the major center of Braunschweig, and is conveniently connected to the federal highway 2 and the railway network of Deutsche Bahn (Braunschweig-Peine-Hannover).

The Peine City Hall is located near the train station and the city center. Peine is home to a diverse industrial sector as well as concentrated trade and service industries. The historic market square completes the city's overall image.


The main tasks of the position include:

  • Management tasks (including performance evaluations of directly supervised employees, conducting performance review meetings, coordinating projects, scheduling and conducting employee meetings)
  • Organizational and legal involvement in the planning, introduction, and use of information and communication technology (ICT)
  • Participation in working groups/committees
  • Organization (analysis, consulting, and implementation of organizational measures)
  • Elections/Referendums (coordination of preparation and implementation of elections/referendums)
