Description
Accountabilities:
- Phone Coverage: Answer, handle, phone calls in a timely and efficient manner. Utilize appropriate telephone etiquette.
- Scheduling: Using general scheduling guidelines appropriately schedule patient appointments selecting appropriate visit type/length of visit. May be required to schedule meetings for physicians.
- Registration: Greets patient promptly upon arrival to practice. Accurately collects and documents timeofservice payments.
Verifies/collects:
demographics, emergency contact information, and insurance information. Correctly registers patients in system, including registration paperwork.
- EMR: Accurately enters information into EMR.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills; knowledge of how to assist patients in a timely manner with concerns and/or complaints
Education:
- HS Diploma or GED required
Qualifications/Requirements:
Prior administrative experience in a physician practice, working knowledge of computers, medical terminology, insurance, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) strongly preferred
Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills essential
Bachelor's Degree preferred
