    Job Duties:

    • Manage and develop underwriting team responsible for Private and Not-for-Profit Financial Lines products in New York
    • Implement a plan to build a well-balanced and profitable portfolio of Private and Not-for-Profit Financial Lines products (D&O/EPL/E&O/Fiduciary/Crime/Side A DIC)
    • Oversee the Underwriting, rating, and servicing of new and renewal submissions
    • Ensure that underwriting files are of consistent quality and cover all relevant issues
    • Facilitate marketing / client plan for the region
    • Meet regularly with assigned Financial Lines brokers; Identify and establish new relationships with FL brokers; Success to be measured by submission/quote/bind metrics compared to prior periods of the team
    • Develop a working knowledge of other Starr products to facilitate cross sale of those products where applicable

    Requirements:
    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
    5+ years of experience managing a Financial Lines book of business
    Detail oriented; Attention to quality/accuracy
    Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflows efficiently
    Ability to lead a team in a group environment
    Proven track record of success with New York insurance marketplace
    Professional demeanor in verbal and written communications internally and externally
    Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Pivot-link, and similar applications

    For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Starr Insurance Companies is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.

    The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets:

    licensure and certifications: and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $150,000-$200,000
