- Partners with respective business leaders to strategize and align initiatives to exceed business unit goals and execute people strategies.
- Drives the business unit's people plans, partnering closely with the Centers of Expertise (COEs), HR Operations and business unit leaders to effectively and efficiently deliver talent lifecycle processes and initiatives.
- Develops practical solutions to problems, providing innovative solutions, ensuring alignment with organization objectives.
- Collaborates with the HR team in North America and globally, as appropriate, on the development of new concepts, policies and programs and delivers across the organization.
- Analyzes trends and monitors metrics to continually assess performance and adjust talent solutions.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations as needed.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, managing and reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to people leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with people leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build collaboration and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation, trains leaders on the resources, tools and best practices associated with the life cycle of an employee.
- Leads workforce planning, goal alignment, career development, talent calibrations and succession planning for their respective business unit.
- Designs and implements change management strategies for corporate initiatives.
- Monitors, measures, and reports on employee engagement; producing and reporting on turnover, highlighting trends and recommending solutions to address out of range results.
- Bachelor Degree preferred, SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), PHR or SPHR credential preferred.Work experience considered in lieu of education.
- Three or more years of relevant work experience in talent acquisition and employee relations preferred.Experience in performance management, leadership development and federal and state respective labor practices and employment laws preferred.
- Candidates should be capable of influencing others, must be flexible, and must be adept at leading and managing change.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies is required.
- Experience helping leaders formulate talent requirements and providing the talent acquisition support by managing the recruiting life cycle to source and staff roles is required.
- Strong business acumen is preferred to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills with a proven ability to respond to rapidly changing business needs, meet deadlines, coupled with organizational, analytical, problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong ethical approach to resolving employee issues is required, as is the ability to remain impartial and objective.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Visio and SharePoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for developing communications, coupled with strong listening, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- 20% domestic travel as required to other locations.
- Willingness to work in plant producing radioactive materials and requiring all employees to participate in safety programs designed to minimize potential and/or actual exposure levels.
- Responsibilities include the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, kneeling, crouching, twisting the upper body, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, must be able to physically negotiate stairs and evacuation ladders with or without accommodation, wear and operate safety equipment, enter vessels, and inspect equipment.
- Material handling devices (e.g., hand truck, fork truck, and conveyors) are used when possible, however, use of proper lifting and movement techniques is necessary to prevent injury.
- Must be willing to wear a variety of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and hearing protection as needed.
- May be required to sit or stand for long periods of 8+ hours a day while performing duties.
- Must possess good hand-eye coordination; close attention to detail is required.
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors with exposure to mechanical/moving parts, hazards including corrosive, flammable and toxic material, dust, dirt, odors, and irritants.
- Willingness to complete safety training within allotted timeframes, and work in a team-based environment.
- Must be able to work outside of regular work hours, including off shift, weekend, and holiday work as business needs require.

Summary of Position
The People Partner opportunity is great for individuals with several years of Recruiting, Talent Acquisition or HR Generalist experience
We are seeking a Human Resources People Partner to support the alignment of our HR initiatives and functions with business objectives and employees in designated business units while continuing to grow your HR experience. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to employees and people leaders aligned with the business objectives of the organization.
The HR People Partner maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.As a member of our team, you will assist in guiding the business units you are supporting with a primary focus on talent acquisition and employee relations, while supporting additional efforts including organizational development, compensation and culture transformation.This position reports to the Senior Director, Human Resources.
