Job Description

Idaho National Laboratory is looking for a DevSecOps Team Lead to join their Information Technology department. The position offers a 9x80 schedule at their Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off. There may be opportunities for hybrid work arrangements. Reporting to the Manager of Application Delivery Services, the ideal candidate will be responsible for developing solutions using cutting-edge technologies and applying expertise in software and hardware engineering to complex systems. Key Responsibilities:

Design, analyze, and maintain system architecture, including cloud environments. Coordinate the integration of various solutions.
Stay updated on new technologies to enhance system reliability and performance long-term. Develop specifications for new products and services. Recommend technology enhancements to meet future needs.
Conduct system design and programming, ensuring proper database configuration.
Offer recommendations for identity management, access controls, and multi-factor authentication.
Provide technical support for network optimization.
Manage hardware and software planning and installation. Collaborate with partners to define requirements and outcomes. Develop customizations for seamless application integration across organizations.
Lead technical planning and architecture development to meet performance and security requirements. Test and deploy hardware and software systems. Offer support during project execution.
Perform testing on new systems and provide results to support organizational objectives.
Mentor junior staff to enhance their skills. Coach team members on standard practices and tools.
Document software engineering best practices. Deploy, patch, and upgrade supporting products. Establish maintenance procedures.
Ensure efficient utilization of management systems.
Lead and manage IT staff within Application Delivery Services.

Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 8 years of IT experience; or an Advanced degree with 6 years of experience.
5 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps/DevSecOps developer using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
Knowledge of SQL and other databases.
Experience in platform as a service (PAAS) administration.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with Microsoft cloud services like Azure AD or Oracle OCI.
Familiarity with Microsoft development technologies such as .Net and .Net Core.
Knowledge of containerization technologies.

Job Information:

Salary Range: $124,368 - $211,596.
