Process mechanic glass technology (m/f/d) control, monitor and regulate the production process of glass products on computer-controlled production systems, which they also maintain and repair.

They mix raw materials such as sand, soda and lime, melt the mixture in glass tanks or melting furnaces and then shape it into the desired product by pressing, blowing, spinning or rolling.

After the glass has cooled, they refine the surfaces, for example by polishing, engraving or mirroring. They set the adjustment values for the machines and systems and enter them. They also carry out regular quality controls.




Requirements:

  • Good qualifying secondary school leaving certificate
  • Manual dexterity
  • Interest in technology and natural sciences
  • Accurate and precise working method
  • Teamwork
