SUMMARY:

The Patriots Photo Intern will support all aspects of the photo editor in the communications department. The individual will require strong organizational skills, experience as a photographer and possess a positive attitude.

Responsibilities for home games will include assigning, distributing and collecting all field level media vests, escorting media to 300-level shooting assignments, taking various non-game related photos and possibly running photo cards during the game.

Regular non-game projects will include fulfilling in-house photo assignments, creating commemorative photo books for former players and coaches, updating the Patriots digital library and scanning archived images to update our digital photo archive.

All camera equipment will be provided.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist taking day and night photos of various areas of Gillette Stadium, including but not limited to, wide angle photos from the 300 level and photos of the North End Zone facilities.
  • Escort and monitor external media taking photos from the 300 level.
  • Assist taking photos of game action from the 300 level, shooting down on the action with a long lens to provide a unique perspective.
  • Check in and issue vests to media members in the media work room. Also ensure all vests have been returned by the end of the night.
  • Run photographers' cards to and from the media work room so editors can upload photos to the digital asset management platform.
  • Assist taking photos at community events.
  • Assist on other photo projects, including commemorative books for former players and coaches.
  • Help update and reorganize select portions of the Patriots digital library of images on the digital asset management platform.
  • Review metadata on the digital asset management platform to ensure accuracy of all tagged images.
  • Assist scanning historical images, particularly Super Bowls 20 and 3
  • Assist in the layout and design of press materials.
  • Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.

Training Camp

  • Assist shooting Patriotssponsored wall board and billboards while players take the field.
  • Assist shooting players signing autographs, speaking to media, and/or meeting with guests in the CR tent post practice.
  • Review metadata on digital asset management platform of all tagged images to ensure accuracy.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has no supervisor responsibilities but will work closely with each member of the media relations staff

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with experience in photographing game action and still photography.
  • Must have knowledge of photo editing software, either Photoshop or Lightroom.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build working relationships internally and externally.
  • Proficient in all Adobe Suite programs, especially InDesign.
  • Attentiveness to detail and highly organized.
  • Excellent timemanagement and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail with ability to produce highquality, accurate work within designated deadlines.
  • Experience with content management systems and databases.
  • A familiarity with Canon is preferred, but not required

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computing equipment
