We are looking for a Litigation Associate to join our team in Portland, Oregon, supporting our growing client base. This position requires candidates with 3-4 years of experience in plaintiffs' civil litigation, who are dynamic, detail-oriented, and ambitious.
Our cases are complex, often involving multiple defendants, leading to significant settlements for our clients. Due to the intricacy of our work and our unwavering commitment to our clients, our firm operates exclusively on-site, creating a collaborative environment where teamwork is key.
As an associate in our Portland office, you will undergo thorough training in asbestos litigation and quickly take on case management responsibilities. Your tasks will include case investigation, overseeing discovery, conducting and defending depositions, document analysis, motion drafting and advocacy, and trial preparation. Successful candidates may also get the chance to participate as second or third chair during trials, with the potential to lead trials autonomously with sufficient experience.
Client interaction plays a crucial role in our work, as we assist families during challenging times. Hence, qualities like empathy and the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds are vital for success in this role.
